My Approach

My goal is to help you identify what’s getting in the way of peace and fulfillment, and to find practical ways to move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

How I Work

I practice from an integrative framework that weaves together experiential approaches, narrative therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). This holistic approach helps uncover and heal the subtle or unseen patterns that shape our emotions, relationships, and sense of self.

Whether you’re navigating personal struggles, relationship tension, or family dynamics, my goal is to help you reconnect with your strengths, build emotional awareness, and restore balance in your life.

Beyond the Therapy Room

Outside of my work as a therapist, I find balance through creativity and connection. I love writing, planning my next camping adventure, and spending time with my family and our dogs. These moments remind me of the importance of self-care and presence, values that I bring into my work with every client.

Family life can be rewarding, but it can also bring moments of stress, misunderstanding, and disconnection. In family therapy, I provide a space where each member can feel heard and valued. Together, we’ll explore communication patterns, unspoken expectations, and emotional dynamics that may be creating tension or distance.

My approach focuses on strengthening understanding, improving communication, and fostering compassion within the family system. I approach trauma work with care, helping you safely explore your experiences while building tools for grounding, self-trust, and emotional balance. Healing is not about forgetting the past, it’s about reclaiming your sense of peace and possibility.

Therapy for First Responders, Helpers & Healers 

Before becoming a therapist, I served as a first responder, an experience that deeply shaped my understanding of stress, trauma, and the emotional toll of caring for others. I know firsthand how challenging it can be to balance service, family, and self-care and how often helpers put their own wellbeing last.

I’m passionate about supporting first responders, their families, and helping professionals as they navigate the unique pressures of their work. My focus is on restoring resilience, reconnecting to purpose, and strengthening both individual and relational wellbeing. I hold advanced training and certification in serving and supporting first responders and their families.

Outside of the therapy room, I continue this commitment to service through my work training K-9 rescue dogs. The process of earning a dog’s trust, building communication, and helping them reach their potential mirrors the heart of my therapeutic approach; patience, respect, and the belief that growth happens in connection.
